Mountain View, CA, March 30, 2017 – Mojo Networks, a pioneer in Cognitive Cloud WiFi, announced today the availability of the C-100 and C-110, two new ONIE-capable, SDK-enabled Access Points.
At the recent Open Compute Project (OCP) Summit in Santa Clara, California, Mojo Networks demonstrated the world’s first Enterprise-grade Access Point based on ONIE (Open Network Install Environment) open standards, setting the stage for a future where Access Points from various Enterprise WiFi providers can interoperate.
“Customers are craving an open standard where access points all interoperate like light bulbs.” said Rick Wilmer, CEO of Mojo Networks. “They want more speed, less complexity, and freedom from vendor lock-in. Open standards foster increased competition and innovation, which directly lead to vendor products that are better targeted at customer needs.”
“Enterprise Access Point pricing has become overtaxed with unnecessary markups. In today’s world, the value creation in an Access Point has shifted away from the WiFi vendors and is now driven by the chipset suppliers and the equipment manufacturers (ODMs) who design and manufacture the Access Points,” said Allen Hsu, SBU General Manager, Lite-On Technology. “An open standards-based approach to enterprise Access Points will clearly benefit the market.”
The C-100 and C-110 are the latest Wave 2 802.11ac Access Points to join Mojo’s award-winning product family, garnering praise for their high performance and robust enterprise-grade feature set. The C-110, like the Mojo C-130, offers a third 2x2 MIMO 802.11ac radio for dedicated multi-function scanning.
